As a child of the nineties. I had no idea what this was until I was three minutes in. I almost fell off my chair.

All the kids are doing it.
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
Ugh. Here we go again. I think there’s a keyboard shortcut in Pro Tools that spits outs this song.
George Michael - “Father Figure”
Watching this dramatic masterpiece is an experience to cherish. It’s dramatic, cinematic and filled with wonderful performances. However, the video poses some very poignant, perhaps existential, questions.
Do George and the photographer know each other? Were they formerly involved in a business venture?
Is this relationship a product of a random fare, a la Pulp Fiction? Was Quentin Tarantino inspired by this film while writing Butch’s run-in with the exotic cabbie?
Is this in chronological order? When does George place the phone call? Is the model even the intended recipient of the call?
How many trannies are in the video?
Why does George arrive at the studio? Is his relationship with the model really the product of some bearded stalker/Stockholm syndrome interaction?
Is the mustachioed vision at the end of the film an elaborate glamour photographer/cab driver advertising rivalry? A taunt perhaps?
And perhaps most importantly. How did anybody not forsee George Michael’s sexual orientation?
Feist comparisons, awful rhymes, british accents, incredibly gimmicky video, kung-fu stereotypes, technological nostalgia, lazy canadiana, Is that Fonzworth Bentley?, robot samples, and a vague, anti-consumerism message. What is this shit?
Just another attempt to remain relevant, move along.
Gawd. It’s like you if you put a Tarantino movie into Pro Tools and then left it out in the rain.
Are you ready to hear the most horrifying musical abomination of 2008?
Seriously, are you ready? You’re probably not ready. The screamo bits totally crack me up.
Ahahah. Perfect.
