Chase Jarvis’ new iPhone photo editing app is spiffy.
Ken Rockwell's Nikon D40 guide, now an iPhone app
Ken Rockwell’s helpful, no-nonsense website convinced me to stop worrying and love the D40 - a workhorse of a prosumer camera. Ken is an honest, likeable, and knowledgeable dude whose advice will guide you toward cheaper gear and simpler shooting techniques - he’s a sort of Alton Brown of photography.
His Nikon D40 guide is an excellent resource for anyone looking to make sense of that DLSR purchase they finally talked themselves and their spouse into. It’s plain English, lots of “works for me”-type opinions, and just enough science of photography and camera design to leave you wanting more (which you can definitely find if you dig through the rest of the website).
Anyway, the guide is now available as an iPhone app, which makes it a) handier, b) sexier, and c) easier to read, seeing how Ken’s website is many things but well designed is not one. At $5, it’s one of the best accessories you can get for your Nikon camera.
I think I just overdosed on sarcasm.
This is why Daddy drinks.
And swears.
And threw his iPhone.
Without a doubt the most frustrating thing I’ve ever tried to play.
