You don’t need a band, a label, a big budget, physical release or DRM to make music. Anybody who forgets that isn’t making anything good. Out of It by Brad Sucks tylerball liked it 1 yea, 0 nay, 0 comments

The inverse correlation between the grittiness of Dylan’s voice and the airiness of his subject matter is something to behold. Together Through Life by Bob Dylan tylerball liked it 1 yea, 0 nay, 0 comments

After hearing and playing the ‘blgd abt’ remixes for ages, it’s worth it to go to the source for something a rung lower on the ironic scale. Pop Up by Yelle tylerball liked it 1 yea, 0 nay, 0 comments

Sort of want to throw a party and hire THE BLACK... →
Carles: I think that this ‘music video’ might actually be some sort of Hewlett Packard computer commercial. I feel like consumers need to stop honoring the hiphop ‘onomatopoeia’ gimmick. Tired of ‘hooks’/’choruses’ being some sort of onomatopoeia gimmick. I feel like it is ‘lazy’ and ’stupid.’

Take away all the unique things about your band and what do you have? You get a Metric-like plateau of uninteresting synth-pop. It’s Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs tylerball wasn’t impressed 1 yea, 0 nay, 0 comments

A little bit more polished, a little bit more pop then Slanted. Pavement always sounded best uptempo, and with tongues firmly in cheeks. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain by Pavement tylerball loved it 1 yea, 0 nay, 0 comments

All the best elements of SOTR are given a more airy composition with a more melodic density. “Music a cool 6 year old would make” indeed. Bromst by Dan Deacon tylerball loved it yea, nay, 0 comments

ODB is a like a ghetto-gospel Tom Waits on a constant bender. It’s silly and self-parodying, but by the next listen it’s endearing. RIP ODB. Nigga Please by Ol’ Dirty Bastard tylerball loved it 1 yea, 0 nay, 0 comments
